Jordan-Aaron Kamara (a.k.a Miss Kam), is a California-born, Brooklyn-based, multidisciplinary visual fabricator. Her visions explore realms of beauty, fashion, and motion picture – inspired by the multitudes of her identity and dynamism of love, life, and transformation.
Juxtaposing principles of storytelling and characterization through presentation, Kam oscillates seamlessly between filmmaker and hairdresser.
Kam studied Directing and Cinematography at the School of Visual Arts, and later became the first in-house video contributor to Milk Studios’ eponymous editorial platform.
As an inaugural member of the Angelito Collective, Kam cultivates community through activations, events and visual media that span globally.
Miss Kam’s directing credits range from fashion brands like Luar, Gucci, Syro, and No Sesso. Works published with Condé Nast, exhibited at MoMA, Brooklyn Museum, Miami Art Week, & Good Mother Gallery. Her debut short ‘CIÓN, MAMI’ was released with Office Magazine and selected to screen at the London Fashion Film Festival, as well as a nominee for Best Editing at the Fashion Film Festival Milano.
Kam’s hair art has graced stages and red carpets at Terminal 5, The MET, NYFW & the CFDA Awards in front of packed audiences for Kelsey Lu, Yves Tumor, Bree Runway, captured by Tyler Mitchell, and seen in on pages of King Kong, Vogue, and WWD.
Kam's latest directorial release, '7 Deadly Sins' was on display at Hercules Arts (May 2024) and most recently at MoMA (February 2025) alongside the "Vital Signs: Artists and the Body" Exhibition.
